The Hub is grateful to begin 2024 with 20 Connecting Activities School Districts. Connecting Activities is a statewide network, organized through the sixteen MassHire Workforce Boards, connecting employers and schools to support work-based learning and other career development education activities for students. The BV Hub serves Central Massachusetts in partnership with the MassHire Central Workforce Board, DESE, and our Connecting Activities partners in Worcester.
The BV Hub team collaborates with educators, administrators, and specialists in these districts and local businesses to provide resources and opportunities, such as field trips, job shadows, internships to the thousands of students and families we serve. Bv Hub's approach to administering the Connecting Activities program is regional resource sharing, cooperative problem solving, and designing programming based on the feedback from all of our districts.
The experiences provided through Connecting Activities to students, families, and educators including work-based learning workshops, durability skills workshops, field trips, multi-district events, resource sharing groups, virtual reality programming, and business parter relationship build and strengthen employability skills and expand career awareness. The Hub is dedicated to serving the workforce training needs of our community, schools and businesses and we look forward to increasing that scope in the future.
Thank you to our current School Districts:
