Updated: Jan 25

On February 11 at 9:30 am, our BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series will be hosted at our Partnered School, Uxbridge High School ,with a focus on Bioprocessing and Biomedical Engineering. An additional 11 school districts in central Massachusetts will have the opportunity to participate in this hybrid session via zoom.

I am especially excited to share, both of our upcoming speakers are professionals who work on the same team and for the same employer, Repligen Corporation, "a bioprocessing-focused life sciences company inspiring advances in bioprocessing through the development and commercialization of high-value products and flexible solutions that address critical steps in the production of biologic drugs." Readers can learn more about speakers, Mariel M. Ulichney (Director of Quality) and her team member, Taylor Mannette (Quality Associate) below.

Our last BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series was held at Miscoe Hill Middle School with a focus on the Arts Industry, featuring entertainment casting strategist, Kristie Raymond of Humankind Casting and local artist, Erica Shields. Over 35 participants filled the school auditorium with an additional 40 who participated via zoom. The session was described by Miscoe Hill Middle School Principal, Anne Corron, as "powerful for students to hear." School districts can access a link to a free recording of the event by contacting barrett.lauren@bvhub.org.

Our BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series’ objective is to engage and inform students along with school staff about future career pathway trajectories. We also aim to highlight New England-based companies and training programs. We want to help students see themselves in the workforce, provide career awareness, and fulfill our goals for Partnered Schools along with the Connecting Activities program.
