Clean Energy Teacher Externship: Bringing Real-World Experience Back to the Classroom

This summer, two educators from our Partnered Schools, Kate Raspallo, Hopedale High School and Stephanie Da Silva, Milford High School, had the unique opportunity to participate in a Clean Energy Externship. This hands-on experience, made possible through a partnership with Mass MEP, immersed them in the fast-evolving world of clean energy and advanced manufacturing.

The externship gave Kate and Stephanie an opportunity to gain valuable insights that will directly benefit their students.

“We have learned so much from our experience and our eyes are opened to the many opportunities that exist in the manufacturing world," said Kate and Stephanie. “We are so excited to bring these opportunities to our students and help them become a part of the growing world of manufacturing in Massachusetts!”

This initiative is a prime example of how industry and education can collaborate to better prepare students for the careers of tomorrow, especially in critical sectors like clean energy. Thanks to Mass MEP for offering this impactful opportunity to our Partnered Schools and for helping to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world careers.
