BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series March

On March 12 at 10 am, our BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series will be hosted at our Partnered School, Milford High School, with a focus on Entrepreneurship. An additional 11 school districts in Central Massachusetts will have the opportunity to participate in this hybrid session via zoom.

According to the visionary Australian-American author, Peter Drucker,

"The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

Our upcoming career speakers have created what we'd describe as impactful futures in Central Massachusetts. We are excited to share the unique journeys of two Worcester business owners, Kristin Caforio Marengo (Owner of Hot Power Yoga Center) and Jaden Marc (Owner of Sneaker Sapphire). Learn more about our speakers below!

Kristin Caforio Marengo (Owner of Hot Power Yoga Center) is a native of Worcester, Massachusetts.  Upon graduating high school in 1998 she left Massachusetts and pursued a successful career in dance. After a back injury in 2002, she found Yoga.  In dance she was always competing, dancing through injuries and neglecting her body. Yoga changed all of that. Quickly her injuries healed and Kristin started noticing that she was more calm throughout the day. Things that would have got her down previously were no longer affecting her.

In 2003, Kristin received her 200 hour certification in NYC and years later received her 300 hour certification. Currently she is credited as Yoga Alliance (E-500 RYT).

Following a few years of teaching throughout NYC, Kristin became the general manager of Prana Power Yoga. By 2010 Kristin's class was rated as one of the top 10 yoga classes in NYC, by Time Out Magazine (December 2010 issue).

Kristin became the head teacher of Prana Power Yoga's Teacher Training Program. She led NYU's physical therapy yoga program. And she was featured as a yogi in the motion picture "Creative Control" along with the November 2014 edition of Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Kristin decided it was time to move back to Worcester, Massachusetts in November 2014 and opened Hot Power Yoga Center. Since then, Hot Power Yoga Center has been consistently recognized as the Telegram & Gazette's Best Yoga Studio in Central Mass for 9 years.

Kristin's dharma or life purpose is to spread the healing powers of yoga to all her students and is overjoyed to have her own studio. Hot Power Yoga Center is a safe atmosphere where students can explore their physical and mental selves through breath and movement.

Jaden Marc (Owner of Sneaker Sapphire) is a young entrepreneur and founder of Sneaker Sapphire, a business built on vision, resilience, and community impact. His journey began at just 16 years old, when he started buying and selling sneakers with nothing more than determination, hustle, and a belief in himself. What started as a side venture quickly turned into a passion — and then a purpose.

By 19, without attending college, Jaden officially launched Sneaker Sapphire. With no formal business education, he relied on self-teaching, real-world experience, and relentless work ethic to build his brand from the ground up. He proved that success doesn’t always require a traditional path — it requires commitment, adaptability, and courage.

Beyond building a successful sneaker business, Jaden’s mission has always been bigger than shoes. He created Sneaker Sapphire as a workplace where young people can gain real-world experience, develop entrepreneurial skills, and learn the value of discipline, teamwork, and financial independence. He is passionate about giving youth opportunities he had to figure out on his own, turning his company into both a business and a learning environment.

Jaden Marc represents a new generation of entrepreneurs — self-made, community-driven, and unafraid to create their own lane.

The young entrepreneur was featured as one of Pulse Magazine's People to Watch 2025.  He is now enrolled as a Business Administration student at Quinsigamond Community College.

At just 21 years old, he is already giving back through guest speaking engagements at Worcester Tech, Burncoat High and North High. He is looking forward to adding Milford High School to this list!

Sneaker Sapphire is a registered YouthWorks' worksite. As a YouthWorks' provider, BV Hub had the privilege of watching Jaden guide program participants during a recent business visit featured in our blog.

Our BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series’ objective is to engage and inform students along with school staff about future career pathway trajectories. We also aim to highlight New England-based companies and training programs. We want to help students see themselves in the workforce, provide career awareness, and fulfill our goals for Partnered Schools along with the Connecting Activities program.

School districts can access a link to this event and the subsequent recording of our March BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series' session by contacting barrett.lauren@bvhub.org.
