BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series November
Updated: 4 hours ago

Our monthly BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series makes its first appearance at Millbury Memorial Jr/Sr High School on Wednesday, November 18 at 10AM after an engaging visit to Blackstone-Millville Regional last month.
Last month's session focused on Earth System Science and Clean Energy in recognition of Massachusetts Stem Week. Career speakers, Dr. Karen Frey (Clark University) and Kelsey Perry (Flatiron Energy) captivated the in-person audience of 65, in addition to a virtual audience of 5 from Uxbridge High School. A recording of the half hour discussion is now available for all schools covered under the Connecting Activities initiative and our Partnered School Program.
On Wednesday, November 18 at Millbury Memorial Jr/Sr High School we are excited to highlight career pathways in Communications, Marketing, and Media. Featured speakers include the award-winning, Giselle Rivera-Flores, Digital Media Strategist and Chief External Affairs Officer for WCAC along with Armando Estevez, Technical Coordinator for Leominster TV. This series pairs professionals at the beginning of their careers with professionals who are more established in the same or an adjacent industry. Each speaker is hand-picked by our BV Hub Team on a monthly basis to meet the customized needs of an individual school district accompanied by relevant labor market data resources.
Our BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series’ objective is to engage and inform students along with school staff about future career pathway trajectories. We also aim to highlight New England-based companies and training programs. We want to help students see themselves in the workforce, provide career awareness, and fulfill our goals for Partnered Schools along with the Connecting Activities program.

School districts can access a link to this event and the subsequent recording of our September & October BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series by contacting barrett.lauren@bvhub.org.
