BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series September

Our monthly BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series returns to Northbridge High School on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 10:30AM. This session will focus on Robotics and Electrical Engineering.

The 20/40 Speaker Series kicked off a year ago at Northbridge. Through this Connecting Activities' initiative, we have hosted 10 impactful speakers at 5 different districts in our Partnered School Program. Notable speakers thus far have included professionals from Mass General Brigham, Repligen Corporation, Hot Power Yoga, Sneaker Sapphire, Southwick's Zoo, HumanKind Casting and more. This program reached approximately 300 participants in the 2025-2026 school year and the recordings continue to be a resource available to schools in Central Massachusetts.

In the 2026-2027 school year, we have plans to host speakers at the following Partnered School districts: Northbridge, Blackstsone-Millville Regional, Millbury, Mendon-Upton, Uxbridge, and Milford. In addition to "Robotics and Electrical Engineering," we are excited to focus on the following sectors: Life Science, Clean Energy, Business & Finance, Marketing, and Healthcare. On September 30 we are pleased to host our 1st father-son duo in the BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series at Northbridge High School, Robert Galgano, Senior Project Manager II at Electrical Consultants, Inc. and his son Anthony Galgano, president and founder of True Robotics, Inc. While BV Hub has worked closely with True Robotics over the past few years, this is our first opportunity to connect with Electrical Consultants. For students interested in hearing about training programs at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), both speakers graduated from the school and will share perspectives from two different decades. Learn more about these speakers from their impressive biographies below!

Robert Galgano is an electric power systems engineer and project manager with more than 40 years of experience across distribution, transmission, and generation. He began his career in 1985 at New England Electric System (now National Grid) in Worcester,

where he served as lead engineer for the Worcester low voltage AC network and

managed a $15M program to replace every PCB filled transformer on that network. Over nearly 23 years with the company, he moved from engineering into leadership, setting priorities for a $20M capital budget and eventually managing a $400M annual work plan for distribution and subtransmission. From 2008 to 2022 he consulted for utilities, developers, and energy companies through Energy Initiatives Group, later acquired by EN Engineering. He then moved into offshore wind, leading onshore engineering at Avangrid Renewables before returning to National Grid, where he managed a $1.8B HVDC package for the 1,300 MW Community Offshore Wind project. Since August 2025 he has served as a Senior Project Manager II at Electrical

Consultants, Inc.

Anthony Galgano is a robotics and electrical engineer and the founder and president of True Robotics, Inc., which makes robotics kits, curriculum, and professional development for K-12 schools. He started the company in August 2021 while still a student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and has since grown it to reach 50,000 students at about 150 schools across the country. He has built and managed a team of teachers, salespeople, marketers, and engineers to design new robot platforms, develop curriculum, train educators, and bring the program to new schools. He oversees product development from first concept to classroom, directing the mechanical, electrical, and software engineering behind a growing lineup of robots for elementary and middle school students. That includes designing custom circuit boards for the robots and building a 3D print farm that produces parts in house Anthony graduated from WPI in 2022 with bachelor's degrees in Robotics Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering. His earlier engineering roles include internships at Easypak and National Grid and a design engineer position at Mercury Systems.

We are eager to hear more about Robert and Anthony Galgano and their experiences in electrical engineering. For any student curious about robotics and engineering, this will be a great opportunity to ask questions and develop a clearer picture of future possibilities!

Our BV Hub 20/40 Speaker Series’ objective is to engage and inform students along with school staff about future career pathway trajectories. We also aim to highlight New England-based companies and training programs. We want to help students see themselves in the workforce, provide career awareness, and fulfill our goals for Partnered Schools along with the Connecting Activities program.
