Students from the GJC Advanced Manufacturing program at Blackstone Valley Hub for Workforce Development recently had the opportunity to experience modern manufacturing in action during an educational tour of the Primetals Technologies facility in Sutton, Massachusetts.
The visit provided students with an inside look at one of the region's leading advanced manufacturing companies, where cutting-edge engineering, precision machining, and innovative production processes come together to support steel and metals producers around the world.

Throughout the tour, students observed advanced CNC machining equipment, learned about engineering and manufacturing workflows, and spoke with industry professionals about the skills and qualifications needed for successful careers in advanced manufacturing.
Grafton Job Corps and BVHub extends its appreciation to the leadership and staff at Primetals Technologies for welcoming students and sharing their expertise. The experience served as a valuable reminder that collaboration between education and industry helps build the skilled workforce.
